Who is Steve?

This is a unique story, and I’m excited to share it on my blog (with Steve’s permission) about how our paths unexpectedly crossed.

Recently, I participated in a local photography show in Central Florida, where I was honored to win second place in the Landscape category. After the awards were presented, there was time to mingle with guests and fellow photographers.

During the event, I struck up a conversation with Lisa, a member of the Board of Directors.

She asked which photo was mine, and I pointed to Enchanted Winter Glow. Curious, she asked where I had taken it. “Butler, Pennsylvania,” I replied. “This past January while visiting our grandson.” To my surprise, Lisa’s eyes widened. “My brother lives in Butler!” she exclaimed.

As we continued talking, she insisted that I meet her brother, Steve, and share this incredible coincidence with him. She was fascinated by how photography had somehow connected our worlds in such an unexpected way.

The next day, I arrived in Butler and a few days later, I met him at his workplace and shared the story of how his sister & I had crossed paths through a simple conversation at a photography show hundreds of miles away. He was just as amazed as we were and agreed—though we live in a vast country, it’s still a small world.
